Get those desert festival fashions out of the closet. The organizers behind the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have announced that the Greater Palm Springs festival is returning this year after a two-year absence, running on the weekends of April 15–17 and April 22–24. While the first weekend is technically sold out, passes for the second weekend go on sale Friday, Jan. 14.
Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, and Kanye West will headline the desert festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, with each act performing both weekends. The rest of the lineup offers a classic Coachella mix of up-and-comers and timeless acts, such as Phoebe Bridgers, Lil Baby, Big Sean, and Megan Thee Stallion, as well as Danny Elfman, Fatboy Slim, and Swedish House Mafia.
Don’t yet have a pass for the festival? You still have a few options. Get on the waiting list for the first weekend (or swap your existing passes for the second weekend), or pre-register for the second weekend; second-weekend tickets go on sale at 10 am PT on Friday, Jan. 14. You can also book hotel, on-site camping, and shuttle packages through the Coachella site.
If you plan to attend, you must much show either proof of covid vaccination or a negative test taken within the 72 hours before your arrival. As with all events these days, it’s wise to keep an eye on the festival’s website for the latest updates, and stay in the loop about safe travels in California.
