Downhome music meets big names and a lot of good food at Coachella Valley’s Stagecoach Festival, slated for April 24–26. The 2020 lineup was just announced for the festival, now in its 14th year, which takes place on the grounds of the Empire Polo Fields in Indio—the same location as a certain other April California music festival. Passes start at $319 for general admission and go on sale on Friday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. PDT.
The three evenings’ headliners include heavy hitters Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, and Eric Church, and the full slate features plenty of true-blue country names, such as Alan Jackson, Tanya Tucker, and Marty Stuart (one of the primary sources in Ken Burns’ recent Country Music series). But there are plenty of genre-crossers too, from ZZ Top to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Embracing that country spirit in the culinary offerings, Guy Fieri returns to the Stagecoach Smokehouse, serving barbecue styles from locations that love both smoked meats and steel guitars: Tennessee, Georgia, California, and more. Choose your craft beverage of choice, meanwhile, from the festival’s Beer Barn or its cocktail-oriented Cabin.
To stay nearby, book a camping or RV site, or snag one of the furnished, air-conditioned Shikar-style tents that are set amidst palm trees and a Safari Saloon, and offer use of golf cart transportation. Check out the travel package options for deals at local resorts at Valley Music Travel.
