San Francisco’s Outside Lands is an immersive experience for the ears, palate, mind, and soul. But as the recently announced 2019 lineup proves, the music comes first—and festival goers should come ready to rock. More than 75 acts will perform at Golden Gate Park from Aug. 9–11, including blockbuster names like Paul Simon, Childish Gambino, Twenty One Pilots, The Lumineers, Flume, Kacey Musgraves, Blink-182, and more.
Three-day passes are now on sale with tickets starting at $385 plus fees and going up to $1,585 for a full VIP experience, complete with exclusive access and well-designed merch. The festival sells out every year, so it’s best to buy your tickets early.
The iconic park’s beautiful footprint provides ample space for more than half a dozen stages, giving the festival plenty of room for big-name acts. Other acts include Kyo, Leon Bridges, Lil Wayne, RL Grime, Hozier, Mavis Staples, Counting Crows, and Ella Mai.
Even with a lineup that reads like your ultimate Spotify “Summer Party” playlist, Outside Lands is about more than music. Locally crafted food is front and center thanks to inventive food trucks and pop-ups from some of the Bay Area’s best restaurants. Wine Lands and Beer Lands provide the perfect pairing of NorCal vino and craft brew, while the Bubble Tea Party lends a fun option for the nonalcoholic crowd.
In between shows, visitors can see impressive murals and installations from local artists or catch a mind-expanding talk from the D.A.V.E. series (Discussions About Virtually Everything). According to a release from the festival, Outside Lands boasts one of the highest waste diversion rates of any music festival. Check the site for upcoming announcements and to claim your spot.
