Desert Hills Premium Outlets

Desert Hills Premium Outlets

The bargains come with A-list names at this Greater Palm Springs center

Here’s something to tempt you away from the poolside cabana at your Greater Palm Springs resort. This 180-store center has the biggest selection of luxury outlets in the Golden State.

Scan the list of stores and you’ll be struck by brand names that you perhaps didn’t realize even offered an outlet option. Start your shopping with classics such as Burberry, Coach, Kate Spade, and Gucci, then keep going to outlets of Alexander McQueen, Tory Burch, Christian Louboutin, Kenzo (the only Louboutin and Kenzo outlets in the U.S), Tom Ford, and Valentino. Desert Hills is also the only place on the West Coast where you’ll find outlets from Celine, Loewe, Rebecca Taylor, and Agua Bendita, and a Balmain pop-up. Browse the racks to find the latest trends for a fraction of what you’d expect to pay elsewhere. Plus, you’ll also find popular stores like Lululemon, Levi’s, and Calvin Klein. Even the fast-casual finding takes it up a notch: Check out the branch of ChickeNow, which boasts of having the world’s best chicken tenders.

It’s easy to get to this shopping hotbed, too: it sits right along Interstate 10, the main route connecting Palm Springs to Los Angeles and Orange counties. That makes it an easy and essential detour on your way to or from San Diego, L.A., or other points west.

For more bargain hunting, head next door to the Cabazon Outlets, recognizable for its Florentine dome landmark. It’s smaller than Desert Hills, but it has its own selection of deep discounts—from Guess, Le Creuset, New Balance, and other popular brands; check its deals page, too, for limited-time sales and promotions. To finish up, pick up some locally sourced goodies from a neighbor to both outlet centers: the honeys, dried fruits and date bread from Hadley’s Fruit Orchards.
