Jonny Moseley’s Wildest Dreams: LONGBOARD!
Jonny trades in his usual freestyle skis for a pair of 15-foot longboards—first introduced by miners in the late 1800—to race the Longboard Championships at Johnsville Historic Ski Bowl in Plumas County. About four hours northeast of San Francisco, the beautiful winter wonderland of the Lost Sierra is the birthplace of organized ski racing in North America, and the Longboard competition is almost as stiff as the lengthy planks they ride. As showcased in this video, Plumas County in California’s Shasta Cascade region is a four-season outdoor recreation paradise, with skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing in the winter and mountain biking, rafting, fishing and boating in the warmer months.
