Spring is a delightful time to travel around California, and not just for the super bloom of wildflowers or the upcoming waterfall season. It’s also that sweet spot between high seasons, which translates to a ripe time for deals. It’s a nice reminder to check out the tourism board sites of your vacation destination beforehand, to see what discounts on hotels, wineries, or activities are available. Not only can you get deals on things you know you want to do, this is also the perfect time to discover cool new experiences too. Here are 16 ways to enhance a spring trip to the Golden State—some of these offers end pretty soon, but some can make your customized Spring Break last through the end of the year.

Spring season desert deals, Greater Palm Springs

High season is ending in the desert soon, but right before temperatures rise, prices tend to fall. Come before the Desert X art exhibit ends on April 21 and you get 30 percent off at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club. Or, stay at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa and you can get both a round of golf and a spa treatment per day (good through May 31).

Need more time to finish spring break? Get 15 percent off a log cabin rental  (often with full kitchens and fireplaces) at The Redwoods in Yosemite, as part of its Chase Waterfalls Springs Special (good through May 31).
