Coronavirus: California has lifted its stay-at-home order, but local orders in Los Angeles and some Bay Area counties restrict activities.
In most counties, hotels can accept leisure travelers and restaurants can serve diners outdoors.
California public health officials have recommended that Californians avoid non-essential travel outside the state or more than 120 miles from their home. Visitors from out of state are discouraged from coming to California for non-essential purposes.
Anyone arriving from out of state, including California residents, are encouraged to quarantine for 10 days after entering or returning to California. San Francisco and Los Angeles have ordered a mandatory, 10-day quarantine for people coming from outside their region.
For more guidance, here is a collection of California’s local and regional tourism offices.
We also ask that everyone embrace the California Responsible Travel Code.
