Yoga meets music and alpine wow at Wanderlust Squaw Valley, an om-filled, 4-day July event in North Lake Tahoe. Daytimes are packed with workshops and workouts lead by eminent yoga teachers, all taking place in indoor and outdoor settings that celebrate the beauty of the surrounding Sierra Nevada peaks of Squaw Valley. Take a deep dive into health and wellness topics via your choice of three featured day-long Immersions, each one an intense, distraction-free engagement led by a world-renowned instructor. Revel in five-plus hours of yoga a day, and double down to take advantage of the dedicated fitness studio to work up a sweat with Pilates or a HIIT session. There are also informal and intimate Speakeasy talks, hikes and runs to summits and wildflower meadows, meditations, and other outings.
While Wanderlust is heavily attended by supple-bodied instructors fine-tuning their handstands and downward dogs, anyone can take part in classes, or just come for the music and food. There’s also an outdoor marketplace if you’re searching for a comfy new pair of yoga pants.
When nighttime comes, it’s time to crank up the energy with top music acts, farm-to-table dinners by leading chefs, and special performances. Go to a High Camp pool party at 8,200 feet, or experience a Silent Disco, where you can select from three different virtual dancefloors to groove along to after a day of breaking barriers both physical and spiritual.
With every ticket sold, Wanderlust will make a donation to the (RED) Global Fund to fight to end AIDS. Tickets range from 4-day deluxe passes to admission to individual events.
