Golden Dragon Parade

You certainly will not be the only one celebrating the Lunar New Year at this colourful event in L.A.’s Chinatown. Join thousands of revellers lining the parade route as lion dancers and giant dragons twist, twirl, and spin. It is an honour to be the parade’s Grand Marshall, a title first bestowed on actor and martial artist Bruce Lee in the 1970s. Since then, other Grand Marshalls’ have included David Carradine and Keye Luke from the television series Kung Fu, Dr. Haing S. Ngor from the film The Killing Fields, and Garrett Wang from the TV series Star Trek Voyager.
