Trip Time: 5 days

Day 1
Stroll around Huntington Beach , known as the mecca of surfing. If you’re an avid surfer, don’t forget to visit the International Surfing Museum and Surfing Walk of Fame . Even if you are not, you can still try surfing at this famous beach, since so many surfing schools are available. Expose yourself to bright sunlight and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

When you’ve had your fill of surfing, visit Newport Beach . One of the most famous upscale neighborhoods in Southern California, it feels like being in a luxurious resort. Why don’t you rent a kayak or boat, and enjoy the beautiful coastline from the ocean? Balboa Island , which has so many cute stores and restaurants, is a perfect destination for an afternoon walk. Don’t forget to visit Fashion Island , one of the largest shopping malls in Southern California, where you can find many high-end designer stores and trendy restaurants.

Day 2
Today is all about playing at Disneyland Park . From Mickey Mouse to high-tech attractions, the original Disneyland has wide varieties for everybody. Don’t miss exciting shows and parades. You can also enjoy yourself at Disney’s California Adventure Park . The theme of this park is sunny California. Enjoy the dynamic nature of California, a behind-the-scene look at Hollywood, and good old nostalgic America through exciting rides and shows.

Spend the evening shopping and dining at Downtown Disney District . Enjoy authentic Cajun cuisine at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen , watch sports, eat, and play at the ESPN Zone , or have some fun in the jungle at the Rainforest Cafe . Downtown Disney has it all, and is the perfect place to finish your fun day at Disneyland Resorts. It also has many stores where you can find great souvenirs for your friends and family.

Day 3
Make your closet happy – shop at South Coast Plaza . This immense complex has every high-end designer store you can think of – Gucci, Armani, Hermes and Dior, to name a few. With various gourmet dining spots, such as Morton’s , this is truly “the Ultimate Shopping Resort.” Don’t miss shopping at the Lab .

Once you have enough of high-end designer items, move forward to this hip and funky “Anti-Mall.” OC boys & girls are crazy about this unique shopping destination. In addition to unique boutiques, the “mall” has popular stores, such as Urban Outfitters .

Savor your dinner at Pinot Provence . The elegant, yet relaxed restaurant with charming French country décor is a perfect place for romantic dinner. Enjoy authentic Southern French cuisine. Capp off the night with world-class performing art at the Orange County Performing Art Center . The center holds three music venues, plus the highly regarded South Coast Repertory Theater. The center is also home to exciting events, such as Broadway musicals, ballet, classical music, jazz and rock concerts.

Day 4
Go for a whirl at Knott’s Berry Farm . The oldest theme park in the world, Knott’s Berry Farm is filled with the nostalgic atmosphere of the good old days. From Camp Snoopy, where kids can play with Snoopy and Charlie Brown, to exciting thrill rides, this park is not just for kids but for everybody. Adjacent water park Soak City USA is open late-May through September.

In the evening, enjoy Major League Baseball at Angel Stadium, home of the Anaheim Angels. Red Sox, Yankees and Mariners come to play at the stadium, so check the schedule for your favorite teams.

Day 5
Today is all about glamour and culture – start at Laguna Beach . This beautiful beach city is popular among artists. After strolling around the beach, visit the galleries. There are cute cafés with patio, so it’s a good idea to have brunch outside. In summer, many art festivals and other events are held here. Don’t miss Laguna Art Museum . The museum exhibits various artworks, from 19th century paintings to modern art. Although it’s small, its collection is highly regarded.

Pamper yourself at the Spa at the Montage Laguna Beach . This luxurious hotel is known for its substantial spa facility with an ocean view. Why don’t you indulge yourself at the spa, which is adored by the rich and famous from all over the world? Conclude your elegant evening with dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel .
