|Enjoy New Surprises and Classic Faves at Disneyland Resort|
Old, young, in-between, it’s hard not to fall under the spell of the Happiest Place on Earth.
One of the key reasons people keep coming back to Disneyland Resort —and staying longer once they’re there—is that Disneyland Resort keeps adding, expanding, and improving with new rides and attractions.
For those looking to meet their favorite Disney characters, there are plenty of opportunites throughout the resort. You can meet the Disney princesses and see a show at the Princess Fantasy Faire. Fans of Frozen can meet Anna and Elsa in Fantasyland. Or head to Innoventions in Tomorrowland for some face time with the Avengers. And over in Disney California Adventure Park, Walt's original animated star, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, is more than happy to pose for a few photos.
Also in Calfornia Adventure is the exhilarating Soarin' Over California, a fun tour through the Golden State from above, or the exciting water ride Grizzy River Rapids. Drop in at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. And visit the always popular Cars Land, a recreation of Radiator Springs, as seen in the Disney/Pixar Cars movies, where you can zoom through red rock country on Radiator Springs Racers, chug on baby tractors, and more in this no-detail-forgotten experience, especially suitable for little ones. Take a stroll down classic Buena Vista Street, capturing the charm of 1925 Hollywood—as experienced by a young Walt Disney when he first came to Tinseltown decades ago. Be sure to stay after dark to see the incredible World of Color water and light spectacular, recreating scenes from Disney and Pixar movie favorites.
Part of Disneyland's charm is its classic attractions. In Frontierland, experience "the wildest ride in the wilderness," Big Thunder Mountain, with new, explosive effects. Join Indiana Jones as he explores the Temple of the Forbidden Eye on the Indiana Jones Adventure in Adventureland. Search for treasure and sing along with the swashbucklers - including Captain Jack Sparrow himself - in Pirates of the Caribbean, or visit the 999 ghosts of the spooky, fun Haunted Mansion in New Orleans Square. Find your laughing place on the wild, wet ride that is Splash Mountain in Critter Country. Head over to Fantasyland and follow Alice to Wonderland, fly with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell to Neverland, journey with Mr. Toad on his wild ride, sing along with Small World, or swoosh down icy slopes - past the Abominable Snowman - on the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Race to a galaxy far, far away on Star Tours, with its new twists and turns, go on an undersea adventure with Nemo and friends on the Finding Nemo Submarine Adventure, or rocket through the stars on Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. And don't miss the spectacular end-of-the-night fireworks displays that change throughout the year.
Magic Numbers: Disneyland has welcomed more than 500 million guests since opening on July 17, 1955. Coming up in 2015, Disneyland will be celebrating 60 years of magic with great surprises and fun in store.
