| LAKE COUNTY RELEASES WINE ADVENTURE ROUTE AND FARM TRAILS DISCOVERY MAPS |
Lake County recently developed two brochures, the “Wine Adventure Route Map” and the “Farm Trails Discovery Map,” to ensure that visitors and residents alike are aware of the cornucopia of wine and farm-related events, produce, wine tasting rooms, and other agricultural-related products that are available around the county. The two new brochures have mapped the finest of Lake County’s agricultural products, listed events and celebrations, and given a description of the unique growing climate of the county. The Farm Trails Discovery Map lists farmer’s markets and farm stands, as well as events such as the annual Kelseyville Pear Festival held the last Saturday of September in historic downtown Kelseyville, once known as “The Pear Capital of the World.” The Wine Adventure Route Map lists wineries, vineyards, wine bars, and tasting rooms, as well as describing Lake County’s five distinct American Viticulture Areas (AVAs), including the Guenoc Valley AVA – the first designated single-proprietor AVA in the country.
