Behind the Scenes
No matter how “professional” we try to be on our photo shoots, sometimes we can’t help but get caught up in the pinch-me-I'm-dreaming feeling when we get to hang out at some of California’s most amazing locations. Take this shot of our (incredibly lucky) solo swimmer in the center of the enormous Coliseum Pool at ultra-posh The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach . After we wrapped for the day, our crew couldn’t help but dip into some of the resort’s five-star luxury with cool glasses of wine while overlooking the 136-foot-wide turquoise-blue circle trimmed with over a million glass mosaic tiles—one of the world's largest circular pools, and almost never available for photo shoots. Cheers.
Get the Inside Scoop on Newport Beach luxury: relax in ultimate splendor at The Resort at Pelican Hill
When it comes to California’s most spectacular and resorts, this flawless retreat in Orange County’s posh Newport Beach is a perennial “best in class” standout—the kind of any-whim-answered lodging and related facilities that define the very concept of luxury. Yes, the Resort’s villas and bungalows offer exclusive (and perfect) accommodations. And yes, there are outstanding places to dine , including dress-up-worthy Andrea , and the more relaxed Coliseum Pool & Grill . But what truly sets the Resort apart are the no-whim-unanswered extras: the pamper-perfect services and products that change with the seasons at The Spa at Pelican Hill (think seasonal winter pomegranate body gelato, or a Chardonnay body butter massage shared on Valentine’s Day), to culinary classes and golf academies, to on-site fashion shows. The Resort at Pelican Hill is truly one of those places where, if you dream of perfection, you’ll find it here.
In fact, the OC is one of the best places in California to indulge, with temptations like Costa Mesa’s ultra-upscale South Coast Plaza
(Cartier, Bottega Veneta, Jimmy Choo); spoil-yourself escapes at the Glen Ivy Day Spa
in Brea; and miles of flawless beaches. If you are looking for even more to do in the OC, click here.
