Visit Ancient Egypt in San Jose

King Tut would feel at home in San Jose's Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum & Planetarium .

The museum, designed to look like the Temple of Amon at Karnak, houses the western United States’ largest collection of Egyptian artifacts. Inside, visitors can meander through Nile-invoking gardens, get face-to-face with real-life mummies, and marvel at precious jewelry and incredible statuary. Other exhibits outline practices in Egyptian archaeology; child visitors even can become "junior archaeologists" and spend the night in the museum.
