Hike to Mission Peak

Located in Fremont’s Mission Peak Regional Preserve, Mission Peak  offers spectacular views of the South Bay.

Getting those views, however, requires some work: A 6-mile, out-and-back hike ascends nearly 2,000 feet to the 2,517-foot summit. From the top, panoramic vistas include the Bay to the west and rolling hills to the east. In summer, bring binoculars to look down on hawks and other birds surfing on thermals.
