The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center offers visitors a chance to see original Peanuts comic strips; a comfortable, 100-seat theater featuring Peanuts animated specials, interviews of Charles Schulz and documentaries elaborating on current exhibition themes and an education room for those who are inspired to put pencil to paper and create. The Museum features a re-creation of Schulz’s art studio; permanent large works of art inspired by Peanuts characters including an incredible tile Mosaic (made up of 3,588 cartoon strips); changing exhibitions which tell the stories, inspirations and influences of Charles Schulz and explore the art of cartooning and Schulz's role in its development as well as lovely outdoor gardens and a labyrinth in the shape of Snoopy’s head.
Next door to the Charles M. Schulz Museum is a place where Schulz “hung out” and visitors can ice skate at the Redwood Empire Ice Arena (a.k.a. Snoopy’s Home Ice), eat at the Warm Puppy Café (which serves American cuisine and wonderful salads) and shop at Snoopy’s Gift and Gallery.
