Located 30 miles northeast of the San Diego Zoo, the Safari Park is an expansive wildlife sanctuary and home to over 3,500 animals on a whopping 1,800 acres! Here you will come nose to nose with our big cats at Lion Camp or see herds of elephants, giraffe, and rhinos on our Africa Tram. For our horticulture enthusiasts, the Safari Park is a striking showcase of plants, trees, flora, and fauna with over 1.5 million specimens. Take a stroll through our Bonsai Pavilion or marvel at the beauty of our Conifer Forest. Another incredible guest experience is Cheetah Run, where guests see a cheetah race by at speeds of 70 miles per hour, all in 5 seconds or less.
