California’s Great America, Northern California’s biggest and best choice for world-class family fun and thrills has struck gold! New in 2013: Gold Striker, the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Northern California. High-speed twists, turns, drops, station fly-by and the Old West are the top features of Gold Striker. The ride will stand 108 feet at its highest point with a first drop of 103 feet at a 50-degree angle. Riders will careen along 3,197 feet of track at speeds up to 54 miles per hour. The ride experience on Gold Striker will last more than two heart-pounding minutes and will recognize the pioneering and adventurous spirit of the California gold-seekers who rushed the area in 1849.
Thrill seekers will enjoy a collection of world-class thrill rides which include Flight Deck, a jet coaster which takes riders through wingovers, after-burn turns and a zero-gravity barrel rolls, or The Demon, thrilling riders through two 360 degree loops. For those who want to take a break from the thrills, California’s Great America features a wide variety of rides for the entire family.
The entire family will adore Planet Snoopy, a PEANUTS® themed area which features rides and attractions for everyone. Right next door is KidZville, where kids and parents are welcome to visit and play in this pint-sized “town” filled with big city fun.
