o The American River is an awesome spot for all experience levels.
• I want to do some wine tasting and see the vineyards. What wineries are nearby?
o El Dorado Wine Country has over 62 wineries nearby. Please ask out staff for local brochures and directions.
• What is the weather like?
o In summer, the temperature can soar into the 100s during the daytime, with cooler nights at the higher elevations. Winter sees temperatures dropping well below freezing in the higher elevations, with overnight temperatures occasionally below zero in the mountains. Occasionally, snow falls as low as Folsom, but unlike up in the mountains, never stays on the ground for long. The weather is changeable and is apt to close the highways in winter, so always carry chains and be prepared for weather extremes.
• Is there a nearby hotel?
o Yes, we have a Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Town Center one block away. Our staff would be happy to give them a call to check rates or help you book a room.
• What restaurants are in the area?
o We have a vast array of casual and fine dining in the area, most are within walking distance. Our center also has a list of local restaurants with a map and directions for our guests.
