The California Travel and Tourism Commission’s (CTTC) is launching its first-ever national Japanese television spots on June 20, 2008, featuring the ever-popular Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.  The $5.1 million ad campaign features the slogan Nandemo Alifornia,” which means “California has it all.”  California’s diverse and abundant tourism product and easygoing lifestyle are showcased in television spots, newspaper advertisements and billboards in the Tokyo and Osaka areas.  In 2007, California welcomed 675,000 Japanese visitors, a 4.5 percent increase from the previous year.  Japan is the second largest overseas travel market for California, behind the UK.
